Jesse Jackson Announces He Has Parkinson’s Disease

Civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson has revealed that his physical health is declining after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2015.

“Throughout my career of service, God has kept me in the embrace of his loving arms, and protected me and my family from dangers, seen and unseen,” Jackson tweeted on November 17. “Now in the latter years of my life, at 76 years old, I find it increasingly difficult to perform routine tasks, and getting around is more of a challenge. My family and I began to notice changes about three years ago.”

Jackson is undergoing various treatments to slow the progression of the disease, including physical therapy.

Rapper Lil Peep Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose

YouTube star and emerging rapper Lil Peep has died at age 21. His manager, Chase Ortega, broke the news to fans on social media.

“I’ve been expecting this call for a year,” Ortega wrote.

The Tucson Police Department has confirmed that drug paraphernalia was found inside the rapper’s tour bus, and they indicated in a statement that a drug overdose is suspected.

Peep, born Gustav Ahr, spoke openly about his drug use. In a YouTube video posted two days before his death, he told fans he had taken six Xanax prior to a scheduled show in El Paso.

Kim Kardashian Confirms Baby Number Three is a Girl

Kim Kardashian spilled the gender beans!

In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the mom of daughter North, 4, and son Saint, 1, confirmed that her third child with hubby Kanye West is a girl. The baby is due via surrogate in January.

Kardashian, 37, revealed that North has been calling the unborn child “Baby Sister” because they have not yet chosen a name.

“We’re freaking out, we have no name,” she admitted to DeGeneres, adding that North has suggested the name Star West. “I’m not vibing with it!” she added.

Leah Remini is forging ahead with a new season of her Emmy-winning show, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, despite continued attacks for her investigative work into the secretive religion. Remini was a member of the Church of Scientology for 34 years before exiting in 2013.

“I will not let s–t go,” Remini says of her efforts to shine a light on the controversial organization’s secrets. “If I find some untruth or a half truth or an omitted truth, I f–king find it.”

Remini has faced continued backlash for her efforts, which she blames on a smear campaign originating inside the organization at the highest levels.

“It hurts, but she’s strong,” says a source close to the actress. “She hasn’t lost her focus.”

Corinne Olympios Comes Clean, Admits She Was Engaged After ‘The Bachelor’

Though she denied it for months, Corinne Olympios has finally come clean about getting engaged after she was eliminated from Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor. Several sources had confirmed the Miami-based business owner accepted a proposal from an ex-boyfriend, but Olympios kept mum until now.

“I got home and he showed up at my house with a ring,” she says. “I gave it back. I could never keep something like that.”

Olympios, 26, is now single and says she would like nothing more than to find a boyfriend who gives off “good vibes” and has a job. Though she was recently linked to Bachelor in Paradise costar DeMario Jackson, she maintains they are just friends.

Jason Aldean Finally Speaks About His Las Vegas Shooting Experience

Jason Aldean is finally speaking on camera about his experience performing on stage when the Las Vegas shooting began on October 1. The deadly event saw 58 people killed and 489 injured by a gunman who later turned the gun on himself.

“So when it first happened, I thought a speaker had blown,” Aldean explained. “It just sounded like a crackling something. And so, I’m kind of looking around like, ‘What is that?’ [and] trying to figure out what it is. Then it stopped, so I was like, ‘They must have got it fixed,’ so I kept doing my thing.”

Aldean finally realized the reality of the situation when his guitar player yelled to him to run. He has since dedicated time to fundraising for victims and their families through the Direct Impact Fund.

Aly Raisman Reveals She Was Sexually Abused By Imprisoned USA Gymnastics Doctor

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman has revealed that she was sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar. Raisman’s revelation came as she sat down with 60 Minutes to discuss her upcoming memoir, “Fierce,” in which she details Nassar’s abuse.

“I am angry,” Raisman said of Nassar. “I’m really upset because … I care a lot, you know? When I see these young girls that come up to me and they ask for pictures or autographs, whatever it is, I just … I can’t… I just want to create change so that they never, ever have to go through this.”

Raisman is one of several gymnasts who have come forward to detail Nassar’s misconduct. He was fired by USA Gymnastics in 2015 and is currently in jail after pleading guilty to child pornography charges last July.

Chip Gaines Shaves His Head For A Good Cause

Chip Gaines has made good on a promise to his fans by shaving off his long locks.

The Fixer Upper star and wife Joanna recently visited St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, and the pair chose to help raise funds for Target House, a free residence for families whose children are receiving treatment for serious illnesses.

“Donate to St. Jude through the link in my profile, and the more money we raise over the next FOUR days, the shorter my hair goes,” Gaines wrote on Instagram November 2. “That’s a promise. And, who knows, maybe if you really exceed my expectations…I’ll buzz it all off.”

On November 8, Joanna Gaines posted a photo of St. Jude patients rubbing Chip’s newly-bare head.

Ed Westwick Under Investigation After Rape Allegation

Ed Westwick has been accused of sexually assaulting actress Kristina Cohen. In a statement to police, Cohen, 27, alleges the incident occurred three years ago at Westwick’s apartment.

Cohen further claims a producer she was dating at the time advised her to keep quiet about the assault. The LAPD is now investigating her claims.

“I do not know this woman,”. Westwick tweeted after the allegations were made public. “I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”

The police declined to comment, as the investigation is ongoing.

Former MLB Star Roy Halladay Dies in Plane Crash at Age 40

Former MLB pitcher and amateur pilot Roy Halladay has died in a plane crash. Halladay, 40, was the only person on board the ICON A5 aircraft when it crashed into the Gulf of Mexico ten miles east of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Halladay is a two-time Cy Young award winner and played for the Toronto Blue Jays for 11 seasons and the Philadelphia Phillies for three seasons. He retired in 2013.

“We are numb over the news of Halladay’s untimely death,” the Phillies organization said in a statement. “There are no words to describe the sadness that the entire Phillies family is feeling over the loss of one of the most respected human beings to ever play the game.”

Halladay leaves behind wife Brandy and their two children.
